Brown mesite

Description

The brown mesena is a medium-sized terrestrial bird,often described as similar to a rallo (a family in which the mesite are sometimes classified).This species has a light face,marked only by a slightly hairless ocular ring around a rather large eye and a white variable strip behind the eye.It has a short straight beak.The upper regions of the bird are reddish brown,the lower ones are brownish,without bands or patches.
