Description

The chungungo,sea cat,huallaque (fishermen of Majes and Ocoña rivers of Arequipa ) or chinchimén ( Lontra felina ) is an otter that inhabits the Pacific coast of South America.It is the smallest species of the Lontra genus,which also includes several American fluvial species,and the only marine.It reaches about 70-80 cm,to which we must add another 30 cm of the tail,and weighs about 5 kg.The color is a dark brown,with a coat of about 20 mm that conceals a clear of approximately 12 mm of bluish reflections.The short legs are webbed and strong nails,and his palm is the only part of the body not covered by a thick fur.
