(Odontaspis ferox)
The fierce shark ( Odontaspis ferox ) lives up to 530 meters deep and can reach five meters long.He is called "fierce" because of his prominent and threatening teeth, but does not seem aggressive towards the man.It is found for example in the Colombian waters of the island of Malpelo. At a certain time of the year,it can sometimes be observed because it goes back to shallower depths when the surface waters are cold (because of the Humboldt current ).The fierce shark remains poorly known. The Fundacion Malpelo studied his DNA,which appears to be identical to the specimens found in Lebanon.
