Description

Pelusios castanoides is a turtle species described by Hewitt in 1931.Pelusios castanoides are included in the genus Pelusios and the family pelomedus tortoises.The IUCN categorizes the species globally as viable.The species is found in Eastern Africa (including Seychelles ) from Kenya to South Africa.It also lives in Madagascar with the exception of the island's central and northeastern parts.
