(Phalacrocorax magellanicus)
The cormorant of Magellan (Phalacrocorax magellanicus J.F.Gmelin,1789) is a bird belonging to the family of Falacrocoracids spread along the southern coasts of South America.About 66 cm long,it has a nuptial livery characterized by black head,neck and back with iridescent green reflections,white spots on the head,bright red nude skin around the eye,tuft on the back of the skull,white belly and red legs.
