Ayres black uakari

Description

The uakarí de Araçá ( Cacajao ayresi ) is a Platyrrhynian primate belonging to the Pitheciidae family.The length of the body is 36 to 40 cm and that of the tail is 16-18 inches.It weighs between 2 and 2.5 kg.Its fur is black,but the back has a reddish tone.The hair of the shoulder region is elongated and forms a very visible pod.The head lacks hair,except the upper part,which has black hair.The ears protrude from the skin.
