Description

The fodi Mauritius (Foudia rubra) 2 3 is a species of bird passerine of the family Ploceidae endemic to the island of Mauritius.It measures 14 cm long.The breeding males are olive brown with red head,breast and rump,and the black loreal area.The females,the non-breeding males and the juvenile birds are olive brown with white bars on the wings and the brown beak.
