Short-tailed frogmouth

Description

Sexes dimorphic.Adult males have an overall dull rufous-brown,a buffish-white collar distinct,bold whits spots on scapular area.White markings characterize the breast,flanks and abdomen.Scalloped pattern of feathers distinct on abdomen.Appears less darkish brown than congenetic Short-tailed Frogmouth.It is only distinguished for the latter by vocalizations.Females paler,cinnamon colored.
