Gambusia nobilis (in the American Pecos gambusia ) is a freshwater fish,related to the mosquito fish,from the family Poeciliidae and the order tooth carp.The fish is on average 3.3 cm long and can be up to 4.8 cm long.Gambusia nobilis is a fish species first described by Baird and Girard,1853.Gambusia nobilis is part of the genus Gambusia and the Poeciliidae family.IUCN categorizes the species globally as vulnerable.No subspecies are listed in the Catalog of Life.
