Description

The petrel Bermuda ( Pterodroma cahow Nichols and Mowbray,1916 ) is a bird of the family of Procellariidi.Known to Bermuda as a cahow for the plaintive calls it emits,this nocturnal seabird that nests on the ground is the national bird of Bermuda and a symbol of hope for the preservation of nature.Considered extinct for 330 years,it was rediscovered only during the 20th century.
