Description

The Pycroft's petrel (Pterodroma pycrofti) is a species of seabird in the family Procellariidae.It breeds only in New Zealand,nesting only on Stephenson Island,the Poor Knights Islands,Hen and Chickens Islands,and Mercury Islands.Its natural habitats are temperate forests,temperate shrubland,and open seas.It ranges to Japan,Norfolk Island,the United States,United States Minor Outlying Islands,and Wallis and Futuna Islands.Little is known about its diet,but it is known to eat squid and crustaceans.
