Description

The ' Amazon of Hispaniola ( Amazona ventralis ) is a bird of the family of Psittacidae Small rider,with its 28 cm in size and a slimmer appearance than most of the Amazons,has a general green plumage with evident dark red marks on the ventral area.The head has a white face up to the eye,where the white of the plumage merges with that of the periophthalmic ring,and an evident black reflection on the green of the feathers in the periauricular area.It has the margin of the wing and of the blue remiges.The eye is brown,with white periophthalmic ring.
