Description

The parrot paramuno (Leptosittaca branickii) is a species of psittaciform bird of the Psittacidae family that inhabits the Andean jungles of Colombia,Ecuador and part of Peru.It has an intense green plumage,with an orange stripe on the forehead that stretches under the eyes to form a small pen of yellow feathers behind the ear.At the tip of the wings the upper part is bluish and the lower part is grayish;the abdomen is bathed in orange or yellow and under the tail the plumage is reddish brown.The legs are gray and the bill is grayish brown.It measures on average 35 cm in length.
