Description

The Ceylon loricle is 13 cm long and has a very short tail.Its plumage is mainly green,although the adults have two red spots that occupy one forehead and the pileus and the other the rump and base of the tail,and the nape and back has orange tones.In addition,her chin and throat are light blue.Its bill is reddish orange and the iris of its eyes is white. The immature ones lack the orange nuances of the back and the red of their obispillo is of more muted tones,and they only have some orange in the pileus and front.They have only a certain bluish tone in the throat,their beaks are orange and their irises are brown.
