Description

The parakeet Malabar ( blue-winged parakeet ) is a bird of the family of Psittaculidi Parakeet of size around 38 cm,presents an obvious sexual dimorphism : the adult male has head,back and chest gray,blue crown,orange beak,yellow iris,periophthalmic area shaded in green,collar evident black bordered with blue,green wings with bluish reflections,blue tail,pinkish breast,yellowish green belly,blue rump;the female is differentiated by the green chest,the tail with little blue,the reduced collar and the black beak.The immature have a basic plumage completely green,without collar and with orange beak.
