Description

The lorikeet ultramarine ( Vini ultramarine ( Kuhl,1820 ) ) is a bird of the family of Psittaculidi.Similar to the blue lorikeet,it differs in order to have the forehead,wings,back and turquoise tail,cheeks,throat and chest with white mauve scales;also on the sides it shows white marks.The immature do not have white marks.It is confined to the Marquesas archipelago in French Polynesia.
