Description

Capito hypoleucus is a species of bird in the Capitonidae family,endemic to Colombia,found mainly in the Las Quinchas mountains (Magdalena Valley).It measures 19 cm,it lives in humid forests,mainly from 1000 masl,they have also been visualized in coffee and pasture crops,3 they feed on seeds,insects and fruits.It is a threatened species,the main cause is deforestation.
