Description

Argyrosomus regius (also known as meagre, croaker, jewfish, shade-fish, sowa, kir, corvina, salmon-bass or stone bass) is a fish of the family Sciaenidae. It is similar in form to a European seabass, with a pearly-silver coloration and a yellow-coloured mouth. Length can range from 40–50 cm to 2 m long, with weights up to 55 kg.
