Description

The colirrara snipe or woodcock rare tail ( pin-tailed snipe ) 2 3 is a kind of wader bird family Scolopacidae.It breeds in northern Russia and migrates to pass the non-breeding season in South Asia,from Pakistan to Indonesia.It is the most common migratory bird in southern India,Sri Lanka and much of Southeast Asia.They may arrive wandering to the north-west and north of Australia and East Africa.Its breeding habitat is the wet marshes and arctic and boreal tundra of Russia.Birds in their non-breeding range use a variety of wetlands,often together with the common snipe,but can also be found in drier habitats than your family.They make their nests in a place well hidden in the ground.They mainly eat insects and earthworms,but also a little plant material.
