Description

The sandpipers Terek ( Terek Sandpiper ),also known as Redshank or playerito curved beak,is a species of bird charadriiforme of family scolopacidae.It is the only species within the genus Xenus.It breeds in swamps and bogs in the boreal zone from the Kamchatka peninsula,all of northern Asia to northeastern Europe in the White Sea.They migrate south in winter,to the tropical coasts in East Africa,South Asia and Australia,usually prefer muddy areas.It does not have recognized subspecies.
