Description

The dotted grouper,Epinephelus epistictus,is a tropical marine serranid fish of the Indo-Pacific waters.The distribution ranges form the Red Sea to South Africa,and to India,South-East Asia and Northern Australia,an up to Japan on the Pacific coast.The dotted grouper may grow up to 70–80 cm length.It is a demersal fish found at 70–300 m depths;but nothing has been published of its biology.
