Description

Hippocampus comes a ray-finned fish species from the family of pipefishes and seahorses (Syngnathidae).The scientific name of the species has been validly published for the first time in 1849 by Cantor.The species is on the Red List of the IUCN as Vulnerable,assessment year 2002.The size of the population is decreasing according to the IUCN.
