Description

The hummingbird Puneño ( Oreotrochilus estella ) is a species of apodiforme bird of the family of hummingbirds (Trochilidae).It is distributed throughout Argentina,Bolivia,Chile,Ecuador and Peru.It measures approximately 13 cm.The male has olive-gray upper parts with a soft greenish glow.His throat and front neck is bright light green,bounded down by a black line.His chest and abdomen don white,with narrow brownish longitudinal band.Flanks and subcaudals grayish coffee.Central guidelines dark green and the rest white for the most part.Its bill is black and is barely stooped.The female differs from the male by having the throat whitish with brown spots and the lower parts light brown.
