Description

Chalinolobus picatus is a bat from the genus Chalinobobus found in the middle of eastern Australia : South Queensland,Northeast South Australia and West New South Wales.There the animal lives in forests,open forest and bush landscapes.The animal sleeps in caves,mines,tree cavities and sometimes buildings.Two youngsters are born in the spring.This species resembles C.dwyeri,but is smaller and has smaller ears.The head-to-body length is 45 to 49 mm,the tail length is 29 to 42 mm,the forearm length is 32 to 36 mm,the ear length is 8.6 to 11 mm and the weight is 4.3 to 7.1 g.
