Description

Glauconycteris beatrix is a flutter mice first described by Thomas 1901.Glauconycteris beatrix is part of the genus Glauconycteris and the family leather patches.No subspecies are listed in the Catalog of Life. This bat contains two distinct populations in Africa.One in Côte d'Ivoire and Ghana and the other in central Africa from southeastern Nigeria to eastern Congo-Kinshasa and south to northern Angola.The habitat consists of tropical moist forests in the lowlands.The individuals rest in the cavities of the trees and in the foliage. The species has dark brown fur on the underside and underside without any white spots or stripes,which distinguishes it from other members of the family.Probably chasing it like closely related bats insects
