Today’s Image of the Day from NASA features the Strait of Tartary, which separates the Russian island of Sakhalin from the continent of Asia.

Also in the picture, sun glint is brightly glowing off the Northern Pacific coast of Sakhalin.

The International Space Station was flying 258 miles over the Chinese-Russian border on April 28, 2019 when a crew member of Expedition 59 captured this photograph.
