Today’s Image of the Day comes from the NASA Earth Observatory and features a look at a heavily-crevassed glacier on the southern Antarctic Peninsula.

This image was captured by a NASA crew on board a P3 research plane as part of Operation IceBridge, a mission aimed at mapping Antarctic snow and ice.

This particular glacier is located just north of Creswick Peaks and flows west into Georgia VI Sound.
