Today’s Image of the Day comes courtesy of the NASA Earth Observatory and features a look at Cyclone Ockhi slamming India’s west coast.

This image was captured on December 4, 2017 by the Visible Infrared Imaging Radiometer Suite (VIIRS) on board the Suomi NPP satellite.

The storm not only brought heavy rain and wind, but also kicked up dust plumes and lingering smoggy, polluted air.
