Today’s Image of the Day comes thanks to the NASA Earth Observatory and features a look at Devils Lake, North Dakota from space.

Devils Lake is the largest natural body of water in the state of North Dakota. It gets its name from the approximate translation of its Lakota name, meaning “Lake of the Spirits.”

This image was captured by an astronaut on board the International Space Station.
