Today’s Image of the Day comes from the European Space Agency (ESA) and features a look at the Florida peninsula captured from space.

Located at the top of the image is Lake Okeechobee, which measures roughly 1,900 square kilometers. The lush vegetation at the bottom of the photo is from Everglades National Park, which covers 10,000 square kilometers in total.

This image was captured by the Sentinel-1A satellite.
