Today’s Image of the Day comes thanks to the NASA Earth Observatory and features a look at the Horton River Delta in Canada.
The Horton River Delta is located about 260 miles east of the Alaskan border and empties into the Franklin Bay. The windy groove just above is actually the old path of the river, which meandered more due to the flat landscape.
This image was captured by NASA’s Earth-Observing-1 (EO-1) satellite.
