Hurricane Michael stirred up sediment along the Gulf Coast • Earth.com

Today’s Image of the Day from NASA Earth Observatory shows discolored water along the Gulf Coast of Florida and Alabama after Hurricane Michael.

Sediment and debris were stirred up as a result of the storm’s high winds and waves.

This image was captured on October 13, 2018 by the Moderate Resolution Imaging Spectroradiometer (MODIS) on NASA’s Aqua satellite.
