Today’s Image of the Day from NASA shows the DreamKit in the Copula module of the International Space Station (ISS).

The DreamKit facilitates the Plants in Space investigation, which allows students back on Earth to monitor plant growth in a microgravity environment.

In this particular experiment, arugula plant seeds are growing inside small test tubes in microgravity for 30 days. Photographs are taken at regular intervals by scientists for comparison to an identical experiment back at home.
