An extra muddy river in Madagascar • Earth.com

Today’s Image of the Day comes from the NASA Earth Observatory and features a look at the winding Tsiribihina River in Madagascar.

The river has a milky brown color due to an extra large amount of suspended sediment caused by a powerful storm that caused heavy flooding.

This image was captured by the Operational Land Imager (OLI) on board the Landsat 8 satellite.
