Today’s Image of the Day comes from the NASA Earth Observatory and features a look at plumes puffing out of the Klyuchevskaya volcano on the Kamchatka Peninsula.

Klyuchevskaya is the tallest and most active volcano on the peninsula, and its most recent eruption has been continuously occurring since August 2015.

This image was captured by the Operational Land Imager (OLI) on board the Landsat 8 satellite.
