The Rhône River enters the Mediterranean Sea • Earth.com

Today’s Image of the Day comes from the NASA Earth Observatory and features a look at the Rhône River delta as it enters the Mediterranean Sea.

The Rhône River begins in the Swiss Alps and passes through Lake Geneva before flowing through southern France, measuring a total length of 505 miles.

This image was captured by an astronaut on board the International Space Station.
