Today’s Image of the Day comes from the NASA Earth Observatory and features a look at river flooding in the central and southern United States.

Extensive rains caused both the Ohio River and Mississippi River to flood parts of Indiana, Illinois, Missouri, Arkansas, and Mississippi.

This image was captured by the Moderate Resolution Imaging Spectroradiometer (MODIS) on board the Terra satellite.
