Saharan Dust off West Africa •

Saharan dust is billowing out over western Africa and yellowing the skies over the Atlantic Ocean and the Cape Verde Islands (bottom left) in the true-color Moderate Resolution Imaging Spectroradiometer (MODIS) image from January 26, 2003.
