Today’s Image of the Day comes from the NASA Earth Observatory and features a look at the springtime flower fields of Keukenhof Garden in the Netherlands.

Each year, over seven million flower bulbs are planted in these fields, including 800 varieties of tulips. Once the bulbs sprout and bloom, a colorful patchwork can be seen from space.

This image was captured by the Operational Land Imager (OLI) on board the Landsat 8 satellite on April 21, 2018.
