Today’s Image of the Day from the European Space Agency shows Proba-V minisatellite views of the Yucatán peninsula.

This site, which is believed to be the point of impact that wiped out the dinosaurs, was once home to the Maya civilization.

This image was captured on July 23, 2018 by the miniaturized ESA satellite Proba-V.
