Typhoon Jebi displaces water and sediment along Japan's coast • Earth.com

Today’s Image of the Day from NASA Earth Observatory shows the impact of Typhoon Jebi in the waters surrounding Japan’s main island of Honshu.

Sediment-rich river water can be seen mixing with the ocean along regions of the southeastern coast, including Osaka Bay.

This image was captured by the Moderate Resolution Imaging Spectroradiometer (MODIS) on NASA’s Terra satellite on September 5, 2018,
