Volcán de Fuego erupts in Guatemala • Earth.com

Today’s Image of the Day comes from the NASA Earth Observatory and features a look at Volcán de Fuego, a Guatemalan volcano that has once again erupted.

Volcán de Fuego is one of the most active volcanoes in central America and is located about 40 miles west of Guatemala City. It began its latest eruption on January 31, 2018.

This image was captured by the Operational Land Imager (OLI) on board the Landsat 8 satellite.
