Today’s Image of the Day comes courtesy of the NASA Earth Observatory and features a look at the Zagros Mountains in southeastern Iran.

The Zagros Mountains include a number of salt glaciers and salt domes, though many of them remain unnamed. In total, the mountain range stretches 932 miles.

This image was captured by astronauts on board the International Space Station.
