A new study suggests that increased surveillance in schools has a detrimental impact on academic performance. The experts have found that tighter school security is linked with lower test scores. According to study co-author Jason Jabbari of Washington University in St. Louis, heightened school security reduces test scores in math, reduces the number of students attending college and increases suspensions.
