Description

It forms groups of two coupled leaves divided by a fissure where the flowers appear. Each pair of leaves forms the body of the plant that has a cylindrical or conical shape with a flat surface. From the fissure between the leaves, in the vegetative period, the new leaves appear and as soon as they open, the old leaves become exhausted.
