Description

The Aphloia theiformis or Change-bark is a shrub or a common shaft of Forest Mascarene of Madagascar and Africa to the east, the only species of the family AphloiaceaeThe Aphloia theiformis is a tree up to 15  m tall in the warm, moist forest but remaining shrubby in highland forests. Its branches are reddish.Leaves simple, distichous ovate, subcoriaceous, toothed in adults but deeply lobed in young plants growing in dry areas of Reunion.
