Description

Streptocaulon is a genus belonging to the family of Apocynaceae with 22 species of phanerogamous plants. It is native to Asia where it is located in China , India , Indonesia , Burma , the Philippines , Singapore in the boaques at heights of 0-1,000 meters.  They are shrubs and lianas , 8 m high; Its underground organs are a woody pattern. The leaves are petiolate or subsessile; herbaceous , coriaceous or paper, 3-20 cm long and 3-10 cm wide, broadly elliptical, oval or obovate, basally rounded or cuneate, the apex acute or acuminate, pubescent; with the interpetiolar line. The inflorescences are axillary or terminal, with 4-8-flowers, simple, lax, pedunculated to subsessile, the pedicels obsolete.
