(Areca laosensis)
A little-known species native to rainforests on the Laos, Thailand boarder, also can be found in Cambodia. It grows a thin, ringed, smooth reddish trunk (often clusters to three stems), to about 5 m (16 ft.) tall, a spread of 2 m, with a green crownshaft, topped by a small crown of sparsely pinnate leaves, inflorescence is a pinkish-yellow. Fruit: 1-3.5 cm. in diam. Editing by edric.
