Description

This species is endemic to Madagascar It is found all over the east of the island, from Taolagnaro to Daraina It is also present in a small area in the northwest of the island, in Sambirano It is found from sea level to 1300 m altitude. It grows mainly in the lowland forest, although it can be found in the mountain forest. Isolated individuals are common on steep slopes and rarer in swamp forests
