Thompson's cryptantha ranges from 10-30 cm high with the larger basal leaves ranging from 4-7 cm long and 5-10 mm wide. Note the leafy inflorescence with the narrow leaves covered with numerous long, spreading hairs. The corolla limb on the flowers is generally 4-8 mm wide.
